Our lodge is ready and the renowned Barotse Tiger Fish are waiting for you !!!!

Lukulu Fishing Lodge is situated in the Upper Reaches of the Zambezi River, Barotseland, Western Zambia. A remote part of the river, home to exceptionally large tiger fish, red breasted and 3 spot bream and the largemouth species : nembwe,  thinface and humpbacks.
Besides the fantastic fishing, the birdlife is spectacular and the entire setting provides you with the peace that only mother nature offers.

Barotseland is a kingdom in Western Zambia and home to the Lozi People. Its heartland is the Barotse Floodplain and one of Africas’s greatest wetlands. Rains from the North peak in January/February and the floods occur March/April, covering roughly an area of 550 000 hectares and then recede again between May to July. If the floods occur, so does the Kuomboka Ceremony, (roughly early April ), a spectacular festival celebrating the movement of the Lozi King to higher ground.

The lodge itself is extremely comfortable, offering solar power, wifi, outstanding meals, ice cold drinks, hot showers and a friendly team of staff to help you with all your needs and to catch that trophy fish.

We look forward to meeting you and offering you the most pleasant and unforgettable stay at Lukulu Fishing Lodge.
